Hi, I'm JD. This is my plog (photo-blog). This isnt any page related to the retro culture. It's a modification of the term "retro active", making it an "active retro" aspect. My goal is to share stories, using photos. I wanted to make an active retro feel when browsing thru my photos. You can check the links at the side to know more about me.

Saturday night, New Year’s eve. The reason why I called this blog Active Retro. It makes a photo post about something that happened like a month ago. What’s the deal? Don’t I have time to post something? Or maybe it’s because I wanted to show something that was fun, make it feel like it was a long time ago but it was just in the immediate past. To reminisce, to help me appreciate the little things, take a step back from time to time and rethink of things that have happened. Happy New Year everyone! See you next Saturday, when it’s 2012 already. Cheers! =)

Two weeks since I got “reunited” with Anna
After the awesome wish was made, we stayed for a while at the spot. Getting bored at our positions we figured out why not we take photos in the road like when we did it before. There weren’t any cars passing by and the guards don’t find anything wrong with it.
And so we did.
11.11.11
We wanted to make sure that it was a night spent with a few friends having a good time.
We did. These are the photos from the first part of the event. The best part was after the 11:11pm’th time.
Pics to come soon.
Oct 23 2011. It was one of the rarest events so far. It wasn’t just an ordinary wedding. It was a wedding where one of our closest friends got married. It was a time for all of us to come up dressed in our best suits and drink all we want (big thanks to that mobile bar - the pay was worth it I suppose).
Hydee and Pele got married that day. I didnt bring my camera so the quality was a little bad. The photos were from our old easy-to-carry digital camera. (tsaaah)
It was also the day were I got to get-in-touch again with Anna! <3 haha!
As continuation, the college had a programming competition ACM-style. The faces are truly-memorable :)
Continuation of the opening of our college celebration week: There were fun games on the side. It was prolly the time I was in a sack race. Good thing no photos were taken. But I managed to take a few photos of my colleagues performing in the race itself.
A bulk of the photos include me and how students socialized with their professors. For my part I think it was pretty much difficult to distinguish who’s the prof among the students. It was like a “Where’s Waldo” scenario.
There’ll be more to come soon.
Over a month ago, our College celebrated it’s College Week. It was pretty en grande for the assembly and walk around the oval. It was one of the happiest events I’ve been too even if there were downfalls *coughs* technical difficulty *coughs*
It was pretty much colorful even though everyone was wearing black. The morning was filled with smiles and good enough the weather was pretty cooperative.
The top most photo is a semi-panoramic-ish photo of the block I handled and “nurtured” last trimester. It was our only photo I suppose since the times have been difficult to arrange.
The rest of the event was filled with speeches, games and of course the unlimited out-of-class free-cut-like bonding moments with fellow colleagues and students.
More photos to come next week.
I tell you the photos are not related. They were just posing with the shots. Feeling :))
They look convincing though xD
It’s amazing to discover the little things that an 8 y/o kid can do when given with a camera. True talent might’ve arrived.
Gave a kid my dslr for a short time during that night. It was on manual focus and manual settings. He manged to take these photos, with ease and with “talent”.
As a friend of mine have said before “somebody gave that boy a camera”.
His mum, my godsister now requests of me to give him a toy camera so he could have his “training”.
I just said - let’s see. But hey, isnt it kewl huh? :P
